This software is an application programming interface (API) for C and C++, containing functions handling algorithms, protocols and standards, such as: ASN.1, X.509, PKCS#1, PKCS#5, PKCS#7, PKCS#10, PKCS#12, SSL/TLS, RSA, AES, SHA, HMAC. MCL library by MALKOM has full English documentation. The package is available for WINDOWS, LINUX, HP-UX, SOLARIS and AIX systems.
It also contains support for hardware cryptographic modules, such as: nShield by nCipher, or CryptoCard MultiSign cards by CryptoTech. It has FIPS 140-2 standard compatible runtime mode. The library is currently used in many large production systems.
